Vale Darren West

Darren West ‘left the building’ peacefully on Saturday 26th October 2024, surrounded with love and care from his wife Hazel, his sister, and step-daughters Kenna and Rhona. Darren recently developed brain cancer, and in his case it was aggressive and untreatable. He was 55. 

There would have been no Seedlab without Darren.

Darren’s contributions to all facets of Seedlab: the back of house systems and resources, the program, the team, the participants and to Woolworths was at all times significant and immense. 

Seedlab is a family business, and Darren was also husband and business partner to Hazel, Seedlab CEO, and step-father to Kenna, our COO. Our team are all friends as well as colleagues. 

His untimely death is a great loss to us all.
