When Mimi first started with Seedlab she had a passion for the distinct natural flavours from Burma. She had grown up with these flavours and created the first version of a dressing at home that she dreamed of putting in the pantries of Australians across the country.
With the help and guidance of the Seedlab program she has transformed this idea into a range of three delicious, all natural dressings for poke bowls. Waking up at 6am on a Sunday to get to a farmer’s market, attending Seedlab classes in the afternoon and packing online orders late into the night she continued to look for ways to improve. Everything from the formulation, branding, labelling and approach has changed enabling Mimi to now have her range stocked in 30 stores across Australia, selling online and to embark on a trial in two flagship Woolworths stores.
What has held true through the transformation is her drive to keep the flavours natural, fresh and authentic to what she loves whilst better communicating her passion for eating better with her customers in a way that resonates with them.
Seedlab Cultivate has transformed our business in a matter of months. It gave us the knowledge to see where we needed to change and the tools on how to make these changes with the expert guidance of our mentors. The fast pace meant we made changes that would have probably taken us a year or so to make in a matter of months. We’ve also got a renewed sense of excitement about the challenges ahead as we now have confidence we can succeed and have resources at our fingertips to guide us.
