Taking Tea to Another Level with East Forged


East Forged is a new, unique style of iced tea created by tea specialists Kym and Tania. They’re currently part of our Cultivate Program, and we adore their enthusiasm for tea and the creation of a completely unique product.

They’ve constantly built upon their strengths throughout our Bootcamp and Cultivate Programs, and we just can’t stop saying nice things about each other ☕️

You learn first principles of costing, specifications, capacity and supply expectations. It is not just theoretical, you are also supported with the tools and templates to create and implement these in your own business.

Through Bootcamp you come to appreciate the depth and range of experience the core Seedlab team members possess in genuinely being able to support you to start, scale and grow to supply major retail. You learn first principles of costing, specifications, capacity and supply expectations. For East Forged, as we worked through the weeks we were able to build assumptions to support our cashflow modelling and you start to understand what your cash requirements and inventory demands will be as you scale. 

We have been able to work on a specific area of our business with a mentor that has the skills to close knowledge gaps and upskill us as a founding team.

Moving through to Cultivate has allowed East Forged to deep dive into critical areas of the business as well as continue to develop our knowledge of the retail supply chain. Access to the Seedlab Australia team moves to one-on-one mentoring and with so much knowledge and experience within the team we have been able to work on a specific area of our business with a mentor that has the skills to close knowledge gaps and upskill us as a founding team.

We have continued to be impressed by the domain expertise of the guest partners that the Seedlab Australia team have brought into the program. Specifically we found benefit in the cashflow module presented by BDO Accountants,  in-depth training on branding and packaging from Stephanie and Jeffrey from The Offices and digital marketing with KingsDesign.

We have also had access to industry experts that have been able to share their unique insights to support East Forged becoming retail ready. These have included dealing with retailers and distributors with Ben Ewens and insights from Woolworths category managers.
